Solar Panels, from Design to Production

A solar power plant cuts your electricity bill and makes your building more self-sufficient. ProfiElekter designs and installs solar panels and battery storage for private and commercial buildings. Start with a preliminary payback calculation.

Solar energy, a complete solution, not just panels

A solar power plant is an investment that pays off for years to come. For it to perform as expected, the system must be correctly sized, installed and connected to the building's electrical system. ProfiElekter delivers solar panel work as a project, from roof assessment through to grid connection and documentation.

What the service includes

  • Site assessment and solar power plant sizing
  • Panel installation on gable, flat and hip roofs
  • Inverter and protection equipment installation
  • Battery storage solutions to increase self-consumption
  • Grid connection and the required documentation
  • System inspection and maintenance

We install the panels, inverter and protection equipment.

Commissioning

We connect to the grid and hand over with full documentation.

A smart energy solution, so the sun earns you more

The real payback of a solar plant does not depend on the panels alone, but on how much of the energy you produce you manage to use yourself. Selling electricity to the grid is not always the most profitable option, sale prices are low and network charges and margins are added on top. The energy you consume yourself is always the cheapest.

How to maximise self-consumption

  • We link the inverter and your loads so that appliances run while the plant is producing
  • We schedule larger loads to daytime production hours, for example pre-heating the electric sauna heater and controlling heating systems
  • A battery raises self-consumption, energy produced during the day is used in the evening
  • Larger battery banks (from ~100 kWh) can take part in the frequency reserve market and earn extra income

Maintenance and reliability

A solar power system is not an “install and forget” solution. Regular maintenance keeps output up and extends the system's life.

  • Panel cleaning and visual inspection, because dust, dirt and snow reduce output
  • Output monitoring to spot deviations early
  • Checking battery system temperature, humidity and connections according to the manufacturer's requirements
  • Compliance with fire safety requirements and correct installation
Frequently asked questions

Solar panels, FAQ

The calculator gives a preliminary estimate of system size, annual output and payback. A precise quote always requires an on-site survey, roof orientation, shading and condition affect the result noticeably.

In Estonia the payback period of a private home solar plant is typically 8–12 years, depending on the price of electricity, the share of self-consumption and the roof's position.

Yes. On a flat roof the panels are mounted on ballast frames at a fixed tilt angle. Gable and hip roofs are also suitable, every roof type has its own solution.

Yes. Battery storage lets you use electricity produced during the day in the evening and increases the share of self-consumption. For each site we assess separately whether a battery pays off.

Not always. Sale prices are often low, and network charges and margins are added on top. It is usually more profitable to maximise self-consumption, schedule larger loads to production hours and use battery storage. Larger battery banks can also take part in the frequency reserve market.

Yes. Panels need cleaning, visual inspection and output monitoring, because dust, dirt and snow reduce production. A battery system additionally requires temperature, humidity and connection checks according to the manufacturer's requirements.
